Jason's List

If you surf on over here and look for the entry date November 5, 2008, it's titled The Future of Startups. This really gets to the heart of the matter, for me. (It could get lost in the flow of topics, here, but this blog is the front page for a blog titled Computing Today, which is pretty much about how to start a technology company.)

I must add: if you follow the link for November 5 at the top of the above referenced article, it takes you to a page at Mahalo. If I understand right, Jason runs that company, in addition to others. Well, it's pretty intriguing.

Jason's blog, referenced above, is also very interesting. It's loaded with gadgets, which are things I've been hearing about, but haven't been completely clear on, as far as how they're used, or how they work. True, I've sort of been getting the idea. Here, now, you can really see how they work. Look at all the stuff in the sidebar. It's all created with these external services that do the work for the blogger. Here, an assortment of them is put together in a pretty elegant way. (Interestingly, the blog itself is done in the totally bare bones style. You've got to love it.)

More:
What I've been talking about, to the point where I've started to look silly ("talk is cheap," a friend told me the other day) is putting a lot of diverse information together in one place, where the reader sees it all at the same time. It looks like Mahalo does that, and that's what it does. Nice work. Jason's use of those gadgets does it, too.
